After completing the SSB Interview and UPSC Exam, National Defense Academy enrols. Before continuing on to their respective service academies for the one year of pre-commission training, Army, Air Force, and Navy cadets get three years of training at NDA. The cadets receive a graduation diploma when they graduate from NDA. Along with education, a focus is placed on leadership, esprit de corps, discipline, and physical fitness.The Academic year is divided into two Semesters i.e. Spring (Jan to May) and Autumn (Jul to Dec). The cadet undergoes a total of Six Semesters of training in the three-year training period.
